The Book of Children
The Book of Light
In every situation and with every choice made by free will the light exists. The light is linked to growth and healing for ourselves and for those around us. It is often obscured by our judgment and evaluations. Linking our self worth to acquisitions or accomplishments, we block our connection to experiencing the light. In The Book of Light we learn to ask the question, “What is the nature of the light in this situation?” We learn to leave behind the old question, “What is right?”
Every tired parent knows those wonderful restorative moments as she holds her children. This book asks the questions, “What would it take to create a children-centered world? What would be different?” The central message of The Book of Children asks us to hold all the children of the world in our hearts and minds. Building on the themes in Children and Leaders it raises the question what will it take to bring the children forward in our decisions? It asks us to question the value of judging children to determine who are the best and offers an alternative to learn to develop our “gifts”.
The Book of Lines
Although our children are born without lines, we adults spend most of our time maintaining and creating lines. We shape the planet and draw and redraw the lines of ownership. Knowledge held too tightly turns into lines and becomes our absolute truth. We compare, judge and evaluate who is better and who is best. These lines constrain our experience of what is possible. Wisdom emerges from learning to erase our lines. The Book of Lines turns a spotlight on how we create lines and offers practical approaches to how we can erase them.
